Was unhappy the assesor slowed the approval process down slightly due to wanting the repairer to source and use cheaper aftermarket parts instead of the genuine OEM parts I wanted used on my car. Otherwise happy with the overall process.

You get what you pay for Even though I can appreciate that when my car was rear ended it was 2 weeks before Christmas so no one really wanted to help I was frustrated by how many times I had to make contact with Budget direct just to get the claim process going, my call logs will reflect this. On top of this I was incorrectly asked to get a driver history check for an accident that happened in a different car while my wife was driving that was not her fault. I tried several times to explain this to the original claims person who I lodged the claim with but I was still asked to get a driver history check so my I had to wait another 8 business days before my claim could begin because of a Budget direct employees incompetence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Making my claim/s ... so so easy! Due to no fault of mine - I've had the unfortunate bad luck of three accidents in eight months. I am now naming my car 'The Magnet' - but hopefully that's my 'three' and no more! Each claim was so so easy - no stress! And no filling in forms was/is a huge bonus too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick claim process I submitted a claim for damage caused to my car in a shopping centre car park as we all know this is a common occurrence. Budget staff were quick and efficient with the processing of my claim. My car was assessed and repaired quicker than I imagined. Budgets premium is very competitive as I tend to shop around for best price best service hence the 5* rating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely poor customer service and communication Budget Direct are hopeless at communication and customer service. When you call about your claim you are lucky if you get a representative that can answer any basic question. It is near impossible to get an answer and requires the customer to call numerous times to get a resolution. each call results in a team member giving you different answers than the previous. It is almost always required to escalate your claim to a team leader and when you request this you are advised it will be up to 48hrs for them to call you even after often waiting weeks for a resolution on your claim already, it is than unlikely you will receive a call back in that time frame and than you have to call again and spend yet more time on hold. Every claim i have had has taken a long time to resolve and has had numerous issues a long the way caused by Budget or their Nominated contractors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple on the phone process After my car was badly damaged by hail, I was very impressed with the simple claims process.The consultant was sympathetic and listened while I explained exactly what happened . After a couple of days I was called back with information where to take my car to get asessed and then it didn’t take more then a few days to find out the result ,in my case it was written off . It took about a week for the money minus the excess to be deposited in my account .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fast simple easy I completed the claim on line. I then contacted budget to go over a few things I did not understand . They explained in a friendly efficient manor and helped me complete my claim. The whole process was very simple. They then sent me the repairers closest to me which I was able to choose the one I wanted. I rang the repairer booked a time to get it assessed which was am easy process I booked my car to get repaired it was finished a day early.THe repairs were done to a high standard I would highly recommend Budget

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waiting 5 months on a claim and still no word I submitted a claim 5 months ago and I've provided the required documentation (written description and drawn description of the incident) in relation to damage done to my car by another driver in another car. I have not heard any word from Budget Direct on the current status of my claim. Budget Direct were to chase up the offender’s insurance company and I have no idea what is happening. If I don't hear anything by the time my insurance renewal happens I will leave this company. I do not see why I should pay hundreds of dollars a year for no customer service.

I do feel like over all the whole process was made easy in comparison to other insurance companys I have delt with in the past and I will definitely insure with Budget Direct again.

Can't even help customers even though other companies had the policy that if someone else driving the car and invovled in an accident just pay excess.and car is repaired they were treating us as if my husband committed a crime his driving history they treated us very badly .I wish I never had this insurance before they send the documents and every thing made us very upset I had 50k car but sitting in the garage unrepaired .m referring a lot.

From the beginning to the end it was an easy and smooth transaction. So glad that having a cheaper insurance policy doesn't mean that you get less. We definitely were satisfied with the level of professionalism that it was handled with, as well as the repairing of the vehicle. Great work Budget, keep up the promise.
