Smooth claims process!
Being my first accident, I was worry that it would be a complicated process to get my claim sorted but it wasn't! Simple 1 2 3, Submit, Claim and repaired, even during the Christmas period I was kept informed every step of the way.

The claims process was complete in a timely manner
Although the claims process was complete in a timely manner, I wouldn't use Budget again unless their "not-negotiable" underwriting conditions were more inline & consistent with other insurers in the industry. Budget appears cheaper on the surface, however more costly in the longer term. Take the time to analyze the terms & conditions in their quote in depth. Don't leave a stone unturned, because I guarantee you, they won't. TRUST ME.

Stress free relief
My car was involved in a car park incident whilst unattended leaving my car a little bit worse for wear. Fortunately the incident was witnessed and details left under my wiper blade. I immediately contacted Budget Direct was I was 'walked' through the procedures i.e. reporting to the Police with all the details and Budget's on-line Customer claims was a breeze. I was directed to an assessor, car booked in and I got my car back a day earlier! Excellent service.

Simple,smooth easy process.

Satisfied Claim Process
I recently had minor accident in my vehicle. It happened just prior to Christmas & I require my vehicle to get to work every day.... . Budget assessors inspected within the week of accident & had my vehicle towed to a smash repair. They were too busy to look at my veh before Christmas period & then were closed over Christmas. Budget organised an authorised repairer to come & assess my veh at the smash repairs & organised all repairs to be carried out & had my veh back to me a week before Christmas. Awesome service !!

You should back your customer , rather than a repairer who you recommended that did a poor job.

Incredibly disappointing claims service
So incredibly disappointed with Budget Direct and how they've handled my first AND only claim in five years of being a loyal customer. Following both mine and my partner's cars being stolen from our property back in September 2018, Budget took weeks to process my claim and taking over 3 weeks to just assess the damage to my car. My husband, who may I add is with Youi, received his payout within a week and promptly purchased and picked up a new car.
Every time I contacted Budget, a new person answered the phone with no prior knowledge of the claim and failed to provide me with any up-to-date information as to the whereabouts of my car, whether it had been towed or not and the waiting times involved. On Saturday 8 September, when I first submitted my motor claim, I was told there was a 7-day waiting period for the assessment. I called every day after that and not one person could give me a straight answer. At one point, I was told the assessment would take place on either a Friday or Saturday. I called Saturday morning and was informed that assessors didn't work weekends. After three weeks of waiting for a result on whether my car would be written off or fixed, they took it to a smash repairer when it was clearly stated that the damage was purely mechanical. Did I mention that they did this twice? Yep, they took it to a smash repairer on the Friday and did the exact same thing today which resulted in having to start the whole process again.
I ended up having to get the ombudsman involved to help resolve the dispute that occurred with Budget Direct. We came to an agreement but as soon as it was all over I promptly changed insurance providers. I was incredibly disappointed at the service I received and won't be recommending Budget Direct to anyone I know. Having a car stolen is stressful enough, but then to have to deal with an incompetent insurance company just takes it to the next level.

Smooth claims process.
A large vehicle ran into the back of my car, I was able to lodge my claim on the phone with Budget Direct which was very efficient. I went to the assessment centre, the car was taken from me then and sent to the repairer who kept in contact with me until the car was ready to be collected. All ran smoothly.

Nothing too hard
Excellent service! Very helpful, friendly, and efficient.
As this was my very first claim (ever), I was not able to compare this experience with a previous one.
Having said that, BD was very patient with me and explained the entire process from A-Z.
Thank you for your assistance with everything. My car was repaired and looks like new again.

Straightforward and clear claims process.
After a serious car accident, the last thing you need is a traumatic claims process and Budget Direct understand this. From the beginning of the process to my car being written off to a replacement car being purchased through their new car replacement policy, everything was all done in 5 weeks which is amazing. I was kept in the loop every step of the way and every person I spoke to was clear on what was happening. The process could not have gone better and I heartily recommend Budget Direct to anyone who will listen. I have used the phrase ' i love my insurance' more than once over the past few months which is probably quite a rare phrase to hear.
