Really helpful despite my claim being difficult
I failed to lodge a claim in time for Budget's assessor to view the car before it was repaired. Callum in Claims was able to get from me all the information the assessor needed in order to see if Budget could honour my claim. It all went so smoothly, the owner of the other car got their car on time and I got my claim settled within 2 weeks. Thank you Budget!!

Service with a smile.
The Budget Direct claims process was very smooth and fast.
My wife was very pleased and I could not be happier with the Budget Direct and the smash repairer that they had recommended (Priority Smash Repairs, Granville).
We treated like a friend by both parties and I would definitely recommend Budget Direct to anyone.

Terrible service
Budget direct only chased me for claim access fee but doesn’t care about my car repair. After charges me, no phone call or txt to remind me where and who should I contact to repair my car.
The car repairer is terrible as well. They repaired one door but made my car’s central control sensor disabled. And they refused that was their fault!
Very poor service and I won’t stay with Budget Direct any mone. Insured with them for 5 years without any claim. This is the first time I claimed repair, and they questioned me a lot of things and increased my premium straight away!

Timely Process
The initial claim was handled well, but the claim process dragged out to nearly 2 months before the claim was assessed. Once assessed the car sat for another 3 weeks before going to the repairers. One sent away I heard nothing and had to do all the chasing to find out what was going on. Thursday the 11th of December I was informed that the repairs were completed. The accident occurred on the 3rd of July. I was without 1 of my cars for 5 months.
Facts: I had to do the chasing on a number of occasions,
I was promised certain repairs, e.g. the internal door handle that snapped off when I was trying to get out of the car after the accident, these never occurred
I requested that Budget Direct cover the cost of the Blue slip, as the repairs took so long, response all ask my manager (no response)
I requested that Budget Direct reimburse me for he 5 months comprehensive insurance but was met with ill email my manager (no response)
I have pictures of the repairs, and they are not to my satisfaction, and as so the car has lost value.
The next port of call will be to the ombudsmen to find out my entitlements and work out a way forward.

Useless
Employee was crashed into, tried to do a no fault claim. Took 3 months to get approved asked for 3 different people’s 5 year driving history, never called back when they said they would.
Approved the no fault claim then cancelled the policy.
Had 3 different insurances with them but not any more.
Major pain having a work vehicle off the road for 3 months especially when they claim off the driver at faults insurance

Claim process smooth and efficient.
Reporting incident by phone to Budget was straight forward, fast and efficient. Provided me with details of local assessor who promptly reviewed and assessed damage to my vehicle. Car immediately booked in with Crash Repairers, who completed a high standard of work and had the car back to me within a week! No dramas

Responsive, Understanding, Quick Arrangements
To me personnel, it was a shock to have an accident after 30 or more years of driving
However, when I rang Budget, the lady on the phone, just took over and walked me through the process,
with the Claim, Information I need to supply, Information for other party I need to acquire for claim
In addition, to speeding up repairer, as I need the vehicle for travel to work in Brisbane
I came away from the call relaxed with how the process will procced

Poorly handled from day 1.... canceled cause I didn’t provide no claim documentation even though they were aware of a windscreen claim that was 12 months prior on a different vehicle, I was also informed under Shannons you were allowed 1 windscreen claim that doesn’t effect your ratings. Same goes for many other insurance providers.
Now when Budget canceled I wasn’t refunded any remaining premium that was paid... several months worth!!!
Nobody has contacted me nor has the refund been sent.
Unless this is resolved and there manager contacts me for discussion and conclusions, Budget will never be considered nor recommended

2 months and still no car
My car went to the repairer on 13/10/18. Two months later I still don't have it back and have no idea when I will. I understand that it is Nissan who has held it up by delaying the delivery of parts and then losing them in transit. However, the response from Budget Direct was to tell me they couldn't do anything about it. It has been me who has been chasing Nissan. As far as I am aware Budget Direct has not contacted Nissan at all. Also, the promised phone call from Budget Direct to update me on what was happening didn't happen. I had to ring them.
