Easy to get insurance
after a few unsuccesful attempts to get insurance on other on line sites I found Budget Direct. It was as easy as filling in the blanks, ticking what pertained to me, taking a few photos of the car and sending in previous insurance claims/no claims - got it within and hour and safely drove my new car home.

not clear if policy is now current
It is difficult and confusing to establish to establish premium in respect to the no claim bonus. Even after paying the premium and getting the documents there is some doubt as if the policy is in fact current. I have sent an email to establish the no claim bonus, no confirmation from you that it has arrived has arrived yet. If you are not satisfied that the information supplied that you have requested you suggest the policy will be void.
I have worked in General Insurance myself many years ago. Both SGIO and RAC's web site would not accept the payment, that is why we have returned to Budget Direct.

easy to negotiate on-line process
Having had a good experience with Budget on a Home Policy claim, I decided to consider moving my car policy over. I found their quote much more competitive, and some of the 'fringe' benefits of my former policy weren't likely to be taken up by me. So, the policies were, for my purposes, comparable, and I'm around $200 better off on my premium.
