Amazing service
Budget direct made my theft claim so simple.
I completed my claim on the Friday, and by Monday afternoon it had all been approved.
Had several follow up calls to make sure I received everything I was supposed to.
Overall a great experience with Budget Direct.

Beware of the access fee
While the repairs and communication with Budget Direct was ok. I was shocked to be asked I had to pay the access fee of $750 when it was clearly not my fault (a car lost control and came through my brick fence). Budget Direct would not start any repairs to the brick fence until I paid the access fee, of which I haven’t be refunded......yet....3 months and counting.

Professional & caring
I am extremely satisfied with the claims process through Budget Direct.
They were very helpful throughout the entire process and were happy to fit into our schedule for repairs.
I was also surprised at the level of helpfulness and care shown especially in shifting our furniture in and out for repairs to take place.

Very very slow claim!!!!!
Disappointed with our claim process!! Took too long to get things fixed!! We had to make all the calls and chase things up to see when the claim would get started! Was forever chasing up builders, electricians, carpet cleaners etc!!

Unhappy with outcome
The lodgement process was very easy, fast and spoke to nice staff who told me that I will be covered, then 4 days later, bam, not covered. I borrowed the $3500 to cover me until the claim was processed, then I got the rejection call. Had no choice, needed to have the repair done. Why do we pay this money when they dont cover??

Pathetic Claims Refusal
Our fridge's main control board caught fire with cause unknown. We put our claim in and clearly read our repairman's report and were initially told to go to JB HiFi to buy a "like-for-like" replacement fridge. When we next contacted Budget Direct to inform them we had found a comparable fridge we were told our claim was denied as the fridge itself had caused the fire ! Why weren't we told this from the get-go instead of getting put through the process of finding a replacement from their preferred supplier !? Just pathetic service and I am actively seeking my insurance requirements elsewhere... You only know how good your insurance is WHEN YOU CLAIM because they're ALL good when you're joining them and you're giving THEM your money !

Easy claims process
I have been with Budget Direct for 10 years and have never had a problem. The customer care is excellent and many companies would do well to follow their example. The pricing of their products is the best I have found and although the name Budget may indicate a lower level of service it is the complete opposite. I made a claim for hail damage recently, that same day I was informed that a claims representative would be here the day after and he was. The job was passed to a roofer the next day and work was completed soon after, all the while being called to follow up on the claim and works. Well Done Budget Direct.

Fast Friendly Practical
On my recent claim,...….I could not fault the speed of service, with a settlement within 3days of claim.
It was easy, friendly and informed all the way through the process. All question's or worries answered without hassle. Affordable, practical Insurance, that won't leave you stressed.

Budget price, high service
We took out the Budget Direct policy based purely on price - we have never previously actually claimed on any insurance policy. After water damage to our kitchen, the response from Budget was superb - fast, efficient and completed to a high standard. There was ongoing follow-up to ensure we were happy with the repairs.

I had to make all the calls to Budget to try and find out what was happening with my claim. I was told on numerous occasions that some one would call me back to let me know how things were progressing, but there was no contact.

Professional and Courteous Insurance
We recently had waterscapes from burst flexi hose. The accident caused over $20,000 of damage to our house.
We were concerned that our insurer will make up any reasons to reject our claim. We were wrong. They have been professional, caring and amazing support.
Always keeping us in the loop about our claim, without any delay.
They organised for all required work to be completed by licensed and professionals.
If we suggested to engage our preferred contractor/service person, they supported us and made the necessary arrangements to deliver our wish.
We are very lucky and great full to have had insurance with Budget Direct. I highly recommend them. Budget Direct may be cheaper then some endurance companies and that sometimes gives people the impression that they not good. That is totally incorrect and wrong reason to make decisions on.
