CLAIMS PROCESS MADE EASY
TRYING TO RING BUDGET DIRECT IS A NIGHTMARE! TAKES WAY TO LONG TO GET THROUGH. WE FOUND THAT THE COMMUNICATION FOR THE CLAIM WAS GOOD EXCEPT FOR WHEN WE COULDN'T SPEAK TO THE SAME PERSON TWICE REGARDING OUR CLAIM AND DECISIONS HAD TO CONTINUALLY GO TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT FOR DISCUSSION. ON THE WHOLE THE PROCESS WAS VERY GOOD.

Everything went smooth . Everything explained right though the process.easy to fellow . Call back quick response on phone and email . Any request looked at by staff. Claim settled easy and fast with ease . Have no trouble if i need more insurance to give Budget Direct a call.

A couple of phone calls and it was all done. I loved having an ext number to my claims officer made contact easier and didn't have to repeat information.

Smooth claims process
I was concerned that given the failure of two things at once due to the storm, that the claims process would be painful. I was pleasantly surprised by the call centre staff and their efficiency.

Outstanding service experience
I recently had cause to make a claim against a policy I took out with Budget Direct.
I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the claiming process and the helpfulness of the claim adviser.
After I had given them everything requested, I called up a couple of weeks later and the service adviser
assessed my claim while I was on the line and approved it.
Without a doubt the best service I have had in any industry.

Very slow claims process
We had a lightning strike which took out our CBus lightning, and repairs weren't approved until an electrician had inspected and reported findings. This took more than 2 weeks, and then parts had to be ordered, so we're still using torches more than 3 weeks later. However they did allow me to use my electrician for the repairs- very important in this instance

Claims process was hassle free
I was a bit dubious about Budget Direct being a predominately on line company with little face to face contact.
But my fears were dispelled when it came to me making a claim. I was able to speak with English speaking person almost immediately taking details of the claim and guiding me through the process.
My claim was followed up by the staff and resolved very fairly and efficiently.

Excellent Claims Process
Recently had unfortunate thrill of car through fence on a main road, fortunately for me household insurance with Budget Direct was there to assist and within a few hours had all necessary contractors contacted me and started process of repairs. The work done was better then expected, would recommend Budget in a heartbeat

Stressful Claim
Budget were fantastic at the beginning of the claim, then it went down hill as the claim progressed. As I work in customer service I was raving about how good Budget was and a few people changed on my recommendation.
The claim took to long, lack of communication, lack of real empathy, to say I know what you are going through but they have no idea. Keep it real and just give accurate updates.
I now feel bad that people have changed on my recommendation and they have been through this claim process with me as they have asked how it is going on a regular basis.

So easy and quick!
A very large gum tree branch fell on our house on a Saturday afternoon. After getting over the shock, I rang Budget Direct and within 30 minutes of my initial call I had a call from the tree loppers to organise coming out and making safe and removing the tree. After the tree was removed the damage was inspected and we were lucky it wasn't too bad. The building company assigned to fix the damage were quick to attend and assess what was needed. The repair was done well and reasonably quickly. Overall, a good experience.

If they can get out of a claim they will
Very unsatisfied if your Q ask 3 years that is not feb 2015 to nov 2018 that is more than 3 years. That's a 3 year but not by technical terms it's actually 3 years and 9 months as its closer to be 4 years. Other insurance companies do that correctly in the time frame.

Friendly staff

What a smooth process! Claiming insurance can be such a long painful process...unnecessary paper work or speaking with unhelpful people that have no answers.With budget direct this was defnitley not the case. From when I lodged my claim with Jamie to when it was completed i was kept in the loop. The whole process took less than a week and was conducted with the utmost efficiency. 1) Make the phone call 2) Send in information 3)Matter settled quickly with no fuss. I highly recommend Budget Direct Insurance for all your insurance requirements.

Too much red tape and absurd decisions
Just because our car as stolen you wanted to write it off. Never mind the fact that it was recovered intact. Absurd and costly decision.
Your building repair BuildPro took 17 days to send a letter to me just 10 KM away. Written 2 October - arrived 19 October.

Fast and very helpful
Rang the claims department with a simple question about the problem that I had, as I wasn't even sure if I was covered for it. From there the claims team took over and everything was made easy and I was kept in contact ever step of the way.

Worst
Terrible outcome we have a sick child at home who can't be in contact with others in case he gets sick and we have mould in a cupboard from a leaking fitting or breach that has created the mould but you won't be excepted this as a pre existing leak or breach but is still leaking go figure so we as usual families who pay insurance to companies such as yourselves wonder why we need to pay insurance if we can't claim meaning I now have to fix it myself you should ask the question where did you go wrong and how can we make sure these kind of incidents don't occurs in the future we pay you a fee for a service you can't deliver on so your rating out of 10 below 0 will I recommend you no way budget is correct you are the worst insurance company
